Waiting for that one phone call

She was 17. She was just 17....

1990, 7th November
It was her birth and she was all dressed up with a huge smile on her face and was waiting for the evening to start. Mira her mother called from downstairs who was waiting for her to get ready so they could leave for the evening prayers at the nearest Krishna temple.
She came running full of excitement. She hugged her mother again may be for the 50th time that day and kissed her on her cheek and she said let's go maa. Her mother was so happy seeing her happy and said "I have seen you smile after months I am so happy for you and thank god at least you are happy today". Mira smiled silently.
Now you must be thinking she is happy because it was her birthday that day but the reason is something else. Her best friend was coming back from London after 8 years . He was sent there by his parents for his studies that's what everyone thought but the reason was something else, his parents were afraid of his growing friendship with Mira as her family didn't share the same status as they did. But it was all past now and that day he was coming back he informed mira about his arrival weeks ago and asked her to wait for him behind the temple and so did she.
She was biting her nails in nervousness as they were going to meet after so many years . Though she was the most beautiful girl of her age in the town and was looking like a dream that day still she started checking her clothes and her hair and suddenly she saw him......

Sometimes behind a smile there's a hurting heart which has locked itself with things left unsaid. It is said" time heels every wound" i agree but it doesn't fade away it scars. It happens when very edge of your heart is bleeding,crying out loud but no one hears . When there's no one who's  shoulder are there to cry upon and no one to hold hands in the dark. You are all alone blaming life and destiny of yours , cursing your existence! But have you ever asked yourself why it happened?? It's not in our hands what happens in our lives but yes it is to handle it. Often we blame others for what went wrong in our lives but have we ever wondered it's we who gave them space to do so. The True Friendship.

I love to make new friends. And this is the reason that I have so many friends. But I have only a few true friends on which I can trust blindly. Once I was asked a question by my best friend, and that question for a while made me think out loud. She asked me to suppose a situation, where I have to choose between her and the girl I love, whom I would choose. My answer was definitely her. And I told her so. But she was confused by the answer I gave to her. She was searching the reason for which I chose her instead of my love. She asked me the reason and I had no answer to her, I didn’t think for a second before answering her question and it was her name instead of the girl I love in my mouth.  That conversation ended there.
